The Orbital Edge Accelerator is a one-of-a-kind program in the space industry connecting private capital, International Space Station (ISS) National Laboratory–provided access to orbit, and a world-class expert ecosystem to build and accelerate businesses in low Earth orbit. We aim to elevate the boldest ideas and help startups transform cutting-edge technologies into real-world commercial solutions.
Orbital Edge is powered by the ISS National Lab and founded in partnership with global investors Cook Inlet Region, Inc., E2MC, Stellar Ventures, Context Ventures, Draper Associates, and Draper University, leveraging decades of experience and enabling commercial innovation in low Earth orbit.
What will each member of the cohort receive?
Can you tell me more about the Technology in Space Prize?
For more than a decade, the Technology in Space Prize (TISP), sponsored by the ISS National Lab in partnership with Boeing, has successfully supported startups in driving market-changing innovation by providing non-dilutive funding and access to space-based R&D. We are excited to announce that in 2026, the TISP will continue and will become a part of the Orbital Edge Accelerator program, continuing its mission to support high-potential startups with funding, business mentorship, and pathways to R&D in space.

My company is incorporated in the U.S., but I’m not a U.S. citizen. Can I apply?
Otherwise eligible companies led by an individual who is not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident must designate a Primary Investigator (PI) who meets the citizenship requirement. This PI will be the primary point of contact for all Accelerator communication and engagement. The suitable PI must be identified in application information.
Because the ISS National Lab is an orbiting U.S. national lab, do I need to register my company with the U.S. federal government?
Members of the cohort must have an official registration with the United States federal government though Sam.gov. A valid registration is not required at the time of application, but participants are encouraged to begin the process early to ensure eligibility for the cohort. Companies already registered with Sam.gov do not need to register a second time.
Can I get a copy of the term sheet from the investors?
